Soccer Birdie
BOPS
Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with your birdie before attempting to play.

PREPARE FOR FLIGHT:

Begin by preparing the birdie for flight. The disks come to you fairly tight. You should loosen the disks before beginning play. You simply need to squeeze the disks together to loosen. Each player will likely have a different preference for how loose they like the disks.

REMOVING DISKS:

Some players prefer to cut and remove disks using scissors. Disks that are removed can be reattached. We recommend removing no more than one set of curved disks. Top and bottom flat disks should never be removed. Removing curved disks can improve control but will also decrease distance. Less distance is often a preference when played indoors.
CUTTING STRINGS:

Some players also prefer to cut the strings holding the four feathers to change the float-like reaction. Cutting the strings can improve control for some players.

EASIEST WAY TO LEARN:

Soccer Birdie, Volley Birdie and Bop-N' Birdie are easiest to learn when played in a 10 to 20 foot circle with four or more players. As you get better, play one-on-one.  Once your foot-work and hand-to-eye coordination improves you will be able to fly solo.   You'll amaze your friends with kicks and tricks.

PROPER SERVE:

To properly serve, hold the disks and gently toss the birdie UNDERHAND towards the feet of the player directly across from you. If you serve to his or her feet, the player should have little or no problem returning the birdie to you or another player. To properly serve while playing Volley Birdie, hold the plastic disks and toss the birdie OVERHAND to the player directly in front of you.
